Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Care

My scalp drives me bonkers, and this was my go-to for long periods of time. This contains piroctone olamine, which is an anti fungal and, according to head and shoulders, is best suited for mild to moderate dandruff. Unlike the other shampoos in this range, I found that it was fantastic for oily hair, it left it feeling squeaky clean, minty fresh and it greatly soothed the itching I had immediately. After a handful of applications the dandruff was so much improved - but it dried my hair out more than it already was, and over time faded my hair colour somewhat (the latter is not unusual in coloured hair with head and shoulders products of course). If you are like me, you will find head and shoulders causes pretty bad product build up after a while so I'd say that this is best for short term or periodic use; maybe switch to a cleansing shampoo every so often to get rid of the silicone on your hair.

The best proct for an itchy and flaky scalp around! Reasonably priced and results were noticeable even after the first wash!

Bought this on holiday after my shampoo burst in my suitcase and used it almost every day for a week. It cleaned my hair well, however I didn't really notice much of a difference with my itchy scalp and found that it just made my hair colour (I have colour treated hair) fade. Head and shoulders are notorious for causing fading, so I should have known better really.

I used to suffer with itchy scalp but I have greasy hair too so not a lot of products work, this amazing substance did the job and I still use head and shoulders today, it's my go to product

My partner uses this for his itchy scalp. He will not use anything else. It stops all the itching and no dandruff. His hair is cropped so do not know how well would work on long hair, but his hair looks very healthy, has a good shine and does not look greasy.

Stops itchy scalps. It smells strong which is okay but it does what it says and thats good. Leaves hair quite soft too.

I find that this shampoo over-dries my thin hair, I have to use many other nourishing products in order to keep it looking healthy. I suppose this products either works for you or doesn't at all.

This product took the itchiness away after the first couple of washes and after about a week my scalp felt back to normal, I was so impressed I decided to buy the conditioner as well.

shampoo is excellent if you have an itchy dry scalp. My scalp got that bad I ended up at the Doctors they gave a steroid scalp application. I tried T-Gel,to the point I was using it every day along with other treatments non worked. I saw a TV add for this item and thought ive tried everything else. On the first wash itching had stopped and after 4 washes the condition of my scalp had improved 90%!
