Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Brag Volumizing Mascara

I won this mascara on the glam geek review of the week competition and was so excited as it’s the first Anastasia product I’ve ever tried! First impressions were the packaging was very pretty but not as luxurious as I was expecting for a high end product, it’s a very lightweight plastic that Honestly feels cheap somehow! I don’t normally care too much about the packaging but thought this was worth mentioning considering the hefty price tag. The mascara wand is an hourglass shape and instantly reminded me of the too faced better than sex mascara, I actually pulled this out of my collection to do a comparison and can honestly say the bristles are identical except that they are slightly longer on the better than sex mascara. The Anastasia product is incredibly black and the formula isn’t overly wet which I love. It’s fairly easy to use and I found one coat gave my lashes a really nice full volumised effect that isn’t at all clumpy, but didn’t really offer me any length, the second coat added a tiny bit of length so I decided to go in with a third coat which I would never normally do but just wanted to see if I could achieve a real lengthening effect. It finally did provide this but resulted in seriously spidery lashes which isn’t my style! Also made the mascara crumbly and I spent most of the day removing it from my cheeks! On the whole 1-2 coats gives a really nice volume that does last well all day, however I carried out a full comparison/wear test against the too faced mascara and felt the better than sex while being very similar actually outperformed the lash brag in every way, it provides volume and length in just 2 coats with no issues of spidery lashes and very limited flaking off, the packaging is far superior and for me most importantly it is cheaper!! So if you have the too faced mascara I would say do not waste your money on the lash brag!
