La Roche-Posay Effaclar Cleansing Gel

This face cleanser is amazing for sensitive acne prone skin or just oily skin. I find that it doesn't cause any redness or sensitivity that I usually experience with other face cleansers for oily skin. It definitely helps keep my skin clear from pimples and black spots. I recommend this product because it mainly leaves the skin clear and removes oils and impurities without leaving the skin dehydrated and feeling stretchy. I always double cleanse because it will not remove any make up. I use it both evenings and mornings and have only positives to say. You don't need a tone of product and it lasts quite a while so it's worth the money

this product is so gentle and works very well on sensitive skin! After using this for a year, I’ve seen that it’s drastically helped with my breakouts. Gentle enough to take out makeup too! A little goes a long way because it can foam up! It also has no smell which is perfect for me!

This is a great cleanser in my opinion. The only cleanser I have liked this much is the special cleansing gel my dermalogica which is so much more expensive. It has the gel texture which lathers well which I love. This is not a cleanser I would use to remove makeup I prefer something like granite mincellar or a cleansing balm or creamy texture for that. This is more actually to cleanse your skin. I use a 10p coin kind of soze. I bought this and the duo moisturiser together in a set and it claims to be enough for 4-6 week which I think is true for the moisturiser but I’m only nearly half way through the 200ml squuezy Cleanser bottle therefore I would say that size should last me at least another month! That being said I have just ordered the set again because I like it that much! This throughly clean the skin sometimes I can tell if I’ve used too much or used my foreo for too long as overuse can make skin feel a bit too squeaky clean. However that being said used directly gives a clean but soft feeling skin ready to tone or like I do put the duo onto skin once patted dry. The two together have cleared my skin within the 4 weeks like it stated. For that reason I think it’s great! Now just have the pesky acne scarring left behind! I rate this for oily skin too as it has helped to make my skin less oily! Deffo not a cleanser for dry skin but would be hood for oily or combo especially spot or acne skin!

After the first few uses I wasn’t that impressed with this cleansing gel and so I stopped using it. However, I started back again a few weeks ago (mainly because it’s probbaly the most expensive one I have ever bought and I hate wasting money) and I am really seeing the results. It’s not too harsh like most cleansing gels for problem skin and so it won’t dry out your skin. It has a nice clean and fresh smell (not overpowering) and for the price you get a large bottle. I have being using mine at least once a day and it barely looks like I have touched it. I am definitely going to keep using it and would buy again.
