I really dislike writing negative reviews because I really dislike bashing products but feel that when it's £44 at stake, a fair warning needs to be given. The Nars Kabuki Artisan Ita Brush is something that quite a few people have raved about and I had had it on my wish list for some time. The amazing peeps at Spacenk had a great GWP offer so I thought what better time to pick up the coveted brush than now. It came through, unboxed it and was really surprised at how light and flimsy it was. For £44 I reasonably expected some element of substance to the brush. I kind of spent a good minute turning it around and trying to figure out where the magic lay with this brush. Even if the flimsy handle is taken out of the equation the bristles themselves are less than substandard. I expected the brush to be dense in terms of the number of bristles but there is hardly much there, on top of that I have experienced a fair bit of fall out already as well as some bent bristles as if I've tried to contour a cardboard box. When using the brush, you can achieve a thin line deposit of product but there is simply not enough brush there to pick up a good enough amount of product without having to turn the brush flat and running it across. I just cannot in good conscience recommend this brush for what it is. If it was being sold for atleast half the cost I could somewhat understand but for £44 I don't recommend it. As with all reviews, what works for one might not work for another and there is always the possibility of the odd dud products a review of which runs the risk of harming what might be a good line of product.

I am in my mid 30's with oily, medium tone skin and unknown eyes. My hair is unknown, unknown with unknown texture.
This brush is brill for contouring your cheeks. It goes directly into the place you wish for and doesn't over contour by making thick lines. I would say a little product goes a long way, so don't over do it on the brush, as it does apply harshly, but its a brill tool for beginners or pro's. I wouldn't say it work's well for applying contour to the forehead etc as you can't get a nice circular motion to blend it in, but for cheeks and jaw bones, its fab!

Honestly, without exaggeration your makeup collection is incomplete without this brush. It is the best brush out there for contouring, its Kabuki bristles acquired from real goat hair allow this brush to pick up maximum product and sweep across the face flawlessly giving you that contour "on fleek". Even though the price is very high at £43, it is worth it as it gets used everytime. The only criticism is the hairs can sometimes shed but on the whole a fab staple product for all makeup junkies!! Could not imagine contouring without it!

I bought this after some rave reviews online but in all honesty was a bit disappointed. The distribution of product isn't great and contour looks too harsh when blended with this brush. Wouldn't buy again.

This brush I found useful for contouring.its the perfect shape for carving out cheekbones and slimming down your nose.however , because of the shape, I found it awkward to use for applying other products, not worth the splurge for me.

So glad I came across this brush and I am so glad I bought it no matter how much it cost me it gives the most beautiful chiselled line in the cheekbones. The bristles are so nice and soft plus the handle is flat and that actually works really well. This makes my contour really pop.

I love this brush it gives my cheeks a perfect contour and it's a perfect brush. This is my favourite brush and most beauty guru's have this in their collection as it is amazing. It is very pricey for a brush, it is £43 which is very expensive but it's worth it. It doesn't break and nars is a great brand, you definately get what you pay for. Best brush I've ever bought.
