Having combination skin which is very oily in the tzone, I do tend to enjoy the feeling of alcohol based toners. However I think this one was a bit too harsh for me and had a false positive effect. It made my skin feel great initially and striped out any makeup that cleansing had missed. However it really dried out my less oily parts resulting in flaking and I think it also stripped my skin of oils so that overproduction was a problem.

I am in my late 30's/early 40's with combination, fair tone skin and hazel eyes. My hair is medium brown, combination with coarse texture.
Used this in conjunction with the 3 step range. Absolutely loved this lotion, I suffer with oily to combination skin and find my cheeks can appear to have the look of large pores! Within the first use of this my skin immediately felt tighter and less oily it really made me feel freshed faced and clean feeling would buy this product again!

I wasn't a fan of this, strictly because I have normal skin and because it contains alchahol it strips the moisture out of my skin making my skin feel very dried out. For oily skin this might be great although I just feel that the ingredients that it contains could damaged the skin.

I found this product really dried out my skin even when used correctly as part of the Clinique 3-step system. However, a bottle might be expensive but it lasts ages, about three times as long as face wash and moisturizer.

i love this! i got this as a free deal so i only got a small one but i am so glad i did because when i used it i could really feel it was cleaning my skin and gave a tingly feel which made me feel like it was really giving me a deep clean! it made my skin look radiant and i can't live without this in my skin care routine now as it is perfect for clean skin!!!

This is the icing on the cake for your daily skincare routine. This takes of any excess dirt, makeup or oils on your skin and leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh. It tingles slightly which is great as it shows it's working and balances out the oil levels on your face. I adore this product so much I always re purchase as nothing else has beaten it =)

I first thought that it would just be a stronger version of the Clarifying lotion 2 but it isn't. It has witch hazel in it to help calm skin. My skin doesn't feel clean until I've used this.

After using the 3 step process for around 8 months, Im not a fan. I found the toner to be very astringent and irritated my skin.
