I have tried various glycolic acid toners with varying successes. I tried the M&S one which was a disaster. It was irritating and harsh. The Pixi toner is lovely but expensive and quite fragranced. Then I found the Superdrug Naturally Radiant one which is even better than Pixi but you can only get a small bottle. Next was Mario Badescu which was nice but a bit stingy. Now I’ll get to the point - The Ordinary toner is my fave of all the glycolic acid toners I have used. It has all of the usually benefits of a glycolic acid toner and then some. It is a higher % active than all the others I have tried but it is quite gentle on the skin. It smells very fresh and you can get a big bottle for only £6.80. The dispenser is nice too, because it limits the amount of product dispensed which prevents accidental wastage. Bonus!

Do you find this harsh on your skin as itโs a higher %? .. also to let you know I work for superdrug they have just released a larger size bottle of their naturally radiant glycolic acid ๐
@Cmorton23 that is such good news, thanks for the info. It felt the same as Pixi and Naturally Radiant to me, both of which I had no sensation with. I have found some of the lower % ones irritated my skin more such as the M&S one.
My hubby and I have used two other companies’ versions of Glycolic Acid Toner – Pixi and Marks & Spencer. This product has a higher percentage of Glycolic Acid than the others we have used. I have noticed there is a stronger tingly sensation when using this, but my hubby hasn’t. We use it three times a week. I have noticed that my skin looks and feels healthier, my make-up goes on evenly and lasts longer. My hubby suffers from pimples and using this has helped reduce the severity and the duration of the pimple. He has also noticed that his oil production is more under control when using this regularly.

Used to have awful stress acne and general spots 24/7, since using this, Its gone! Acne scars have faded, and keeps my break outs to a bare minimum. Helps to keep my skin smooth and bright, without affecting my freckles.
Good value too! This bottle will last you ages, I use this at night so it has plenty of time to work, and bump it up with a dose of lactic acid twice a week

I love ordinary products and this is no exception. High quality ingredients and a great price tag too. I don't get ant irritation or tingling when using this product it goes on well and leaves no residue.

I was really excited to try The Ordinary's products as I'd heard amazing things, also I'm a sucker for nifty packaging. The results were okay, but I really didn't like the way my skin felt after using this toner. It really stung a lot (like nettles!) and left my skin feeling sticky and not clean for ages. I love an exfoliating toner but I think I'll try something different next time. At least the product was well-priced so I don't feel like I've wasted too much money. Sorry! :(

✨I bought this after running out of my Nip&Fab 6% Glycolic Toner. This product is 1% higer than the former, yet does not at all sting at first or continued application. You can definitely tell the difference the 1% makes - my pores look so much better and cleaner and my skin is always super soft and renewed. I don’t have any more dry patches on my face and it has improved the overall condition of my skin. I still can’t get over the £7 price tag, £12 cheaper than Nip&Fab’s version and a higher glycolic content. I love the way this product dispenses and the 2 caps it comes with. My new go to!

I love a chemical exfoliant. And since discovering them I would never be without one as they have done wonders to the appearance of my skin. As a pixi glow tonic devotee I thought I would give the ordinary’s version a go, it is no frills but affective and I tend to use this in between using my glow tonic. It keeps my skin looking fresh, clear and glowing and have been asked on more than one occasion if I have been for a facial. Which is a win in my book. Good solid product and at less that half the price of glow tonic a wallet friendly addition to my skin care regimen

I’ve used glycolic to exfoliate every evening for years now and I have tried most. This is as good as some of the higher end products I have tried. It leaves my skin soft and glowing and removes any dead or dry skin that may be lingering and so is the perfect starting point for flawless foundation application. I follow with serum and moisturiser and only tend to use at night as this can leave you sensitive to the sun. Excellent product!

I bought this as I had heard it was a great (cheaper) dupe for the Pixi Glow Tonic. I'm a huge fan of The Ordinary and own most of the range but what surprised me about this was just how much it stings! I'd expect a tingle because of the glycolic acid but this actually hurts! On my skin it's more painful than even The Ordinary's AHA peel, which is notorious for being very tingly! I've stuck with it hoping the stinging might lessen with prolonged use, but it hasn't. Back to Pixi Glow Tonic for me.
