I bought these years ago to replace Babyliss ceramic plate ones which I thought would do the job on my thick full long hair as they had wide plates but they just couldn't cope. I gave in to the hype over these and splurged. I only really use them for special occasions but they work wonders, they're also what my hairdresser uses!. Only thing I would improve is a heatproof mat should be included as standard as I always worry about where I place them as they reach such a high temp.

I am in my late 30's/early 40's with combination, light tone skin and blue eyes. My hair is medium brown, combination with coarse texture.
I've used GHD's for the last 15 years and can't imagen why I'd go to a different supplier.
They heat up so quickly, and are so smooth to use.
The plates never catch or pull on my hair and leave strands sleek and shiny.
I know GHD do curling wands as well but I've always used my straighteners to curl my hair and they have always been perfect.

My fav GHD. I’ve had multiple pairs of Ghd through out the years from one of the first breast cancer Awareness Limited Hot pink, to Lilac, to black with purple plates and strangely (I know most are same degrees) but these are just effortless, regardless how tight your kinks are! Leave the hair with a blinding shine too

These last for years, I got some when they first came out for my 18th birthday for a gift. And the last year's and year's. Im now on my 2nd set, they get hot straight away, you don't have to keep going over and over the hair to get your hair nice and straight. They go through the hair smoothly with no pulling at all. Highly recommended these.

I am now on my third pair of GHDs and have been using them religiously since they exploded on the market in the noughties- no longer did I have to rely on using the old iron and towel combo to get that poker straight finish and I became a pro at GHDS curls.
GHDs are reliable and well worth the money as last for ages.
An excellent all round piece of kit for styling

I honestly feel like you cant go wrong with a good ghd straightener , I’ve had mine for ages! There so easy to use and not at all heavy. I use heat protecting mists and sprays in my hair just in case of heat damage but I’ve never had a problem at all ☺️🙌

Make bad hair days a thing of the past with the return of the new and improved (yet as iconic as ever ghd Original Hair Straightener. The first of ghd’s mane-changing heroes, this wonderful device is the perfect all-rounder with the ability to create anything from sleek ‘n straight hair to boho waves. Using improved ceramic heat technology and snag-free floating plates, these glide effortlessly through tresses to deliver the optimum temperature of 185ºC – ghd’s team of scientists concluded that cooler temperatures deliver poorer styling results while hotter ones can cause irreversible, unnecessary hair damage. A round barrel allows for versatile styling, particularly when creating curls, while a staggering 30 second heat up time is a God send on busy mornings. For peace of mind, the device automatically switches off after 30 minutes and a universal voltage makes it the perfect travel companion. Good hair all day, every day? Sounds like a no-brainer to us…
