The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer

I tried this as the ordinary has great reviews and super cheap prices. So i like the bottle and little dropper, the texture is good, serum type primer. What I cant get past is the actual smell. Its like a weird melted plastic smell...not nice. Maybe if they work on this it could be a better product but the smell is too awful to wipe on my face. Will not buy again as dont reach for it now.

I cannot believe what a little miracle this is. I've tried a few primers, all of which were drugstore brands and all of which I thought were rubbish; eventually I came to the conclusion that it's probably because I needed a proper brand like Smashbox or Urban Decay. I ended up getting this only because I needed to bump up the cost of my order to qualify for 20% off and free delivery, and OMG, I am so glad I did! Like most things from The Ordinary, it comes in plain packaging and has a squeezy dropper as the primer is very thin. If you hold the dropper horizontally, make sure you are keeping an eye on the the liquid as it will quickly drip off the pipette and make a mess. It is the weirdest texture; it is almost watery but also slick due to the silicone in the formula. This seems to be the reason why my foundation doesn't stick to the dry bits on my nose anymore; because the primer just glides on and acts as a wonderful barrier. That being said, I don't use foundation half as much anymore; I literally use moisturiser (Aveeno, of course), this little beauty, and then dust some transparent powder on my face. It ends up looking as though I'm just lucky to have naturally good skin, smooth, no dry flaky bits, and with minimal effort. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this primer is. In fact, I guarantee that once you use it, you'll want to just keep stroking your face; it feels like silk. You only need a tiny bit as it spreads easily so the bottle should last quite a long time. And look at the price!!! Madness. Better still? It's cruelty free! x

Recently purchased this primer and I have to say I’m very impressed so far, you only a tiny bit of product for a full face. It keeps my makeup in place all day , gives a smooth even finish and my skin maintains hydration throughout the day! Great little find!

I really enjoy this primer, it keeps my make up on longer, makes it apply smoothly and helps hydrate my skin. A little bit goes a long way so it lasts a long time and I enjoy the stopper as it is easy to apply the same amount daily without poring too much product out.

This is a liquid/serum like primer. It comee in a bottle with dropper. It is unlike any primer consistency I have used before. It spreads really well and a little goes a long way. By the end of the day my makeup was in a better state than any other primer there I have used. It wasn't perfect but it never would be after a long day at work. This is by far the best primer I have used to date and I will be buying it again. Excellent price point too. Really impressed.
