Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer

I bought the trial size and the larger size, and I don’t really see the hype for this concealer. It does look beautiful and blend easily, however it needs to be built up as it’s not full coverage, so looks a little streaky when using as an eyeshadow base. When you build it up, it does start to go a little cakey. I’ve tested this alongside my £5 ELF camo concealer, and I actually prefer that. The coverage is full and blends just like the Tarte, however I like that the tarte has skincare in it. I gave 3 stars as there are some aspects I like about it, however it’s not my holy grail and I wouldn’t run out to buy it again. I’ll stick to the ELF Camo, or maybelline age rewind.

I love this so much that’s I’ve got 4 different shades, I’m a medium skin tone, the shades I’ve got are light, light-medium, medium & tan, Because I like to use them for highlighting and contouring. I love how creamy they are and a little really does go a long way, it works best when applied with a damp beauty blender. Tarte never fails to please 😍

This product is fabulous for minimising dark shadows under the eyes! Always use a setting item which is a must for people who have watery eyes!!!👌🏽👍🏽

Its good has good coverage and isnt to heavy i really rate it. My favourite concealer of all time. I reccomend it

This product is spectacular. The coverage is impeccable, one swipe and my eyebags are gone. Its the magic wand every girl needs! The colour match is amazing too, and a variety of shades almost everyone is covered!

After hearing the YouTube beauty community rave about this product (in particular Jamie Genevieve) I was so keen to try this product to see what the hype was about. Needless to say I was not disappointed. I bought the concealer along with the Shape Tape foundation. I wasn’t impressed with the foundation (but thats a whole other review!) but the concealer exceeded all expectations. I loved the creamy consistency and it applied beautiful. It’s really effective in hiding blemishes, under eye coverage and also great for contouring. It’s a little on the expensive side but the tube is a very generous size and it really does last you a long time which makes it worth every penny. For context, I purchased this concealer in August 2018 and only just finished it last week making it more than a year! I removed the plastic rim at the top of the tube a few weeks back to make sure I got every last bit of product and this really helped make it last longer. That being said I don’t use a lot of concealer but really found this to last me a long time and the quality didn’t diminish. All in all an excellent product and I would treat myself to this again once I have finished my Revolution concealer (which didn’t last nearly much as long as Shape Tape).

I love this concealer!! I was slightly wary of a full coverage concealer as I prefer a more natural look but this is amazing. I have dark circles and paired with a colour corrector (NYX or Bobbi Brown) this covers them completely. Sometimes it could make my eyes look more deep set, and it would be great to have more shades, but otherwise it is a fantastic concealer.

I used to use this every single day for my usual daily routine and I loved it back then. It was pretty full coverage and it matched my skin tone well (fair) and didn’t crease too much! Powder sets very well on top of it as well. The only downside is that it couldn’t totally cover my dark circles and sometimes left them looking a little hollow and deeper than I’d like makeup to make my eyes look. However this concealer is very good and I would recommend it in a heart beat. I do think there are more full coverage and much cheaper options out there, but this concealer is still great.

This is my holy grail concealer because it has amazing coverage. It blends effortlessly when I use a sponge or a brush. A little bit of this product goes a long way and I can’t believe it has lasted just under 2 years. I don’t usually purchase a concealer with a thick formula because it can clog your under eye area if you use it every day, but this concealer sits nicely when I apply it in small quantities. The concealer will look even better when it is set with a translucent setting powder because this will stop it from creasing throughout the day. It will enhance fine lines and wrinkles under your eyes if you use too much though, so apply it carefully.
