Mac Strobe Cream is a really great product. I am now onto my 3rd tube and it does last a long time as you don’t need a lot! It gives the skin a healthy looking glow and leaves it feeling hydrated. In the summer I like to use it on its own just to have that look of glowing health about my face. It’s great under your foundation as it acts as a highlighter to illuminate your skin while still looking very natural. I have also mixed it with foundations and that has worked well too. I use the shade Pinklite which is the original shade before they added more. It’s perfect for my complexion. Definitely worth the money it’s amazing 💛

Brought this strobe cream in a Mac deal, and honestly I mix it with my foundation or out on before foundation and leaves your face glowing. Who needs highlight when you got strobe? Ha

Lasts Forever, a Little Goes a Long Way!

I first bought a tube of strobe cream back in 2016 and no lie - I still have the same tube. I know I should replace it but it seems such a waste, so I make sure I use antibac on my brushes before application. Shhh! The tube is massive and you need such a small amount to highlight, it's actually difficult getting the little amount you want and it STILL lasts forever. I use it to highlight the cheekbones, Cupid's bow, nose tip and brow bones. It has a subtle effect that's less powdery and obvious than popular highlighters but every bit as effective, especially in photos. You can usually get a mini tube as a sample when you order from MAC. Definitely one to try if you haven't. I'd recommend avoiding it as a primer - a MAC artist did that for me once and I looked like a Twilight vampire. 🤣

I sort of got roped into buying this when buying other products from MAC... So glad I did though couldn't imagine life without it anymore. I decided on the shade 'goldlite' because even though I am pale, I don't like a peachy undertone. It's more creamy gold which is beautiful. You can wear this product without makeup to add a glow to your skin or it is amazing to use as a primer before adding foundation , makes makeup look smooth and flawless. Will definitely be purchasing again!

If you’re after a dewy look this is the one to go for. Lovely smell as well and good base as a primer

MAC describe this product as a quick fix that "boosts dull, flat or tired-looking skin." I totally agree with this description and love to use the cream underneath makeup as a moisturising primer or mixed in with my foundation to give a lit from within glow. As my skin is quite oily over the centre of my face, on days that I use this, I can use it in place of a separate moisturiser and my skin still feels soft and plump. If your skin is very dry I'd imagine it wouldn't quite provide enough hydration by itself. Wayne Goss did a video way back in 2011 about this MAC cream, about how it isn't just an illuminating product but one that also contains antioxidants that benefit the skin. He also talks about the different ways this can be used as touched on above and basically sums up why I love it. It's a cult status product by MAC and deservedly so. The only negative for me is the price, currently £25 for 50ml although you can also get a MAC Mini (30ml) for £12 and MAC often offer samples with orders from their websites.

This is something that I go in my game face box in the shade pinklite and it gives my face a amazing glow with a pink reflect which looks stunning. The creams consistency itself is more of a thick than a runny or watered down consistency, there is very fine pigment/shimmer that does not scratchy or irritate my skin when I rub it in, this sinks in really well and easily without any excess glitter. This feels really moisturising on my face and it gets rid of any dryness on areas on my face, this also really hydrates my dry skin which is great! Once it’s set this doesn’t feel oily or greasy and it has a nice dewy/glow finish that doesn’t look oily. I really like the way it looks under foundation since it really makes my skin have a dewy finish which is what I prefer over a matte finish, if you are someone that prefers a matte face this won’t be for you. I like how it reduces the look of dryness helping the foundation look better and my skin not feeling dry. I even will just place this on the points where I would put highlight underneath a light coverage foundation on a simple day where I want to look nice but let my skin have a bit of a break. I even one put this on my face without foundation and it looked really nice and dewy but not oily. I tried this as highlight over foundation and it also looked stunning, I can use this for many things and it really makes my skin look and feel better no matter where I put it. Would really recommend and will definitely be rebuyin maybe even a different shade next time, love this so much!💕

✨I bought this a couple of days ago and I can honestly say already I will not be looking back! The shades come in pink, silver, gold and red, so there really is a shade to suit everybody. As I have olive skin and green eyes, I have opted for the gold... and what a difference it makes! I apply this after my liquid foundation and before my powder. It gives a beautiful glow and wide awake look. The formula is beautiful and viscous and does not go clumpy or dry. It can also be mixed with foundation to give a dewy look - perfect for dry skin. You absolutely need this in your beauty haul!

I use this almost every time i wear makeup, gives you really dewy skin, i normally apply this before my foundation but can mix it with your foundation too, i still always wear a moisturizer under this as i have dry skin.

Lovely glowing base to add before foundation and the product does add a little bit of moisture to the face but it doesn't last and feels quite dry on my dry skin after about 15 minutes so I pair this up with my regular moisturiser to keep my face feeling hydrated for longer.
